(August 2011)
Before going back to work for the school year, I wanted to spend as much time with my little man as possible. There is lots to do around here, so it was just making decisions on what to do. We spent lots of time at the pool at the Y, and at the beach, but I wanted something different. I chose to go the the Virginia Aquarium in VA Beach, and the Virginia Children's Museum in Portsmouth (teachers are free!).
I had been to the Aquarium before; I started to volunteer with the stranding team when we first moved here to VA, but with gas being so high, and it taking 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get down there, I stopped. They have also redone and added exhibits since then. I figured Logan would enjoy seeing some of the marine life.
I had been told by several that the Children's Museum was really great, and that I should bring Logan. Well since teachers got in free (thought at 2 he was not), we decided to give it a try. I invited my friend Brittany and her 2 girls, Tessa & Maddie to join the fun. I think Logan and the girls were a bit young for some things, but they still had a great time exploring!
