February 12-13, 2012
It took a while, but we finally got a decent snow. I was glad it was over the weekend, because I did not want to have a bad weather day to make up. It sucked though because Joel had to fly out early that Sunday morning, and it was not fun driving to the airport.
It started to snow Saturday night, and into the night. By the time we got up for the airport (before the butt-crack of dawn, it had stopped. There was a decent blanket, maybe an inch, but nothing like last year. After Logan and I dropped Daddy off, we went to Panera Bread for some breakfast. After a yummy breakfast we went home to get dressed to play in the snow. It was warming up and I knew it would not last long, and Logan actually wanted to go play. So I got him all bundled up, mittens and all and we went out to play. He seemed to enjoy stomping through the snow, and then he wanted to build a snowman. Well the problem with this idea was the snow. He picked up a big scoop to make a ball and threw it down "Its cold Mommy!" Needless to say we didn't get very far on building the snowman; that and there wasn't good snow for doing that.
After we had our fun in the snow (that was slowly becoming slush), we went in for some hot chocolate.
