(December 2011)
Busch Gardens always has great things going on. After closing at the end of October, they take down all the Halloween decorations (and they go crazy all out for it), they start changing the decorations for their next event: Christmas Town. The park stays closed through November, but opens the Friday after Thanksgiving through January 6th-ish for the Christmas season. We went last year, after it had snowed 14 inches, and it was beautiful! The snow made it so much more festive. This year there was no snow, but it was still pretty, and Logan had a good time. He got to see a Sesame Street show (which was his favorite last year), visit the Budwieser horses, see some penguins, take a train ride around the parl and visit Santa- again. I was impressed he visited with Santa again, but glad he did (we waited in line for 45 minutes). It was cold, but we kept warm with cups of hot cocoa and cider. They have some rides open, obviously depending on weather, but he is too small, daddy doesn't like heights, and mommy's roller coaster days were on hold. It was a nice family evening. I hope to make it back this year, though I am not sure if we will; guess it depends on the little guy =)
