Norfolk Zoo

October 17th was Military Appreciation Day at the Norfolk Zoo, which meant military members and dependents got in free. So we met some friends right at opening-10 am- for a day at the zoo. Logan loves animals, so I figured he would enjoy the zoo; that and it was something different. And Daddy was able to join us, which made it even better.

The weather was perfect for a day at the zoo. Logan enjoyed seeing the goats, pigs, and other farm life at the 'petting' zoo. As we went through the reptile house, he kept pointing and talking excitedly, though I really don't think he saw half the snakes or frogs. We also saw lions, giraffes, and buffalo. I have to be honest in saying that well, this zoo sucked. That was pretty much all the animals. I guess I really only have the Houston Zoo to compare it to. There is a really nice tiger exhibit in the works....But the important thing was that Logan had fun, though he would have preferred to be free (out of the stroller) a bit more, and that we had a fun morning as a family with some friends.
