Since Stephanie was off, today was a day of rest and hanging out. We slept in, which was nice since we had such a busy day before. We went to base so Stephanie could grab a few things, and I bought a few trinkets; magnets, postcards and such. We had lunch at a delicious little place in Landstul, then headed over to Kaiserslautern so Steph could do some shopping. She was looking for s particular item, and we didn't mind walking around. Again, I just love looking at the villages. She showed me some old churches that survived WWII (as they too tried not to bomb churches. The level of the street was much higher than the foundation of many of the churches; she told me that due to the amount of rubble, it was just filled in with dirt and paved over. Logan and I shared ice cream while she shopped. We went back to the house so Logan and the dogs could play, and I began the process of packing. WE had one more day of fun left, then had to be at the airport before the buttcrack of dawn the next, so I wanted to get a jump on packing. IT was nice to have a down day
