Decisions....

Logan had an appointment today with the ENT. He has been having such a time with his ears, the pediatrician referred us out. I am thankful that there was a cancellation which got us in today, instead of the 15th. Of course, as I knew it, he still (or another developed) has an ear infection- double ear infection actually. He just finished another round of meds Friday. So yes, another round, a different med. I have been quite upset by all the ear infections. Not that it slows him down (unless his fever gets over 103), but it worries me. Speech development, hearing, and hurting (not to mention the sleepless nights). So, we have decided to go forward to tubes. I was hoping to avoid this, but the last few weeks have made it inevitable. But what is causing them? Why? I would like to know who came up with the stats that breastfed babies don't get ear infections! I know this is routine, that hundreds of kids have it done every week, and everyone I know tells me its the best thing they ever did for their kids. But this is my baby, going under anesthesia. I know he will be fine, I just am not happy I have to put him through it. I know that it will be worth it, if he stays healthy

I am so sorry sweet Logan has to get tubes. And yes, it is routine but that does not make Mommy worry less! I can only imagine having to make that choice, weighing the pros and cons, the facts and fears. But know you are an AMAZING mother and you will make the best decision you can. Praying for you and please, please let me know if you need anything. Keep me updated!
