Since Daddy decided to go to a gun show, I was not about to let a beautiful Saturday pass me by without enjoying it. So Logan and I drove Daddy to the gun show, dumped him off, and went to the beach, or oceanfront as its called (VA Beach. It was a perfect sunny day, though quite windy. I decided to try anyway, because I just love spending time with my little monkey!
We found a playground right on the beach, so I parked, unloaded the jogger and Logan, and we headed to the beach. Let me tell you....if you want a good work out try pushing a full-size jogger + a 25-pound toddler, plus whatever crap you carry in the diaper bag (and camera). Whew! Logan enjoyed about 30 minutes of playtime, sliding and climbing. As long as he was up, the sand would not bother him.
But the wind became too much, so after a chase to the water (freezing water!!!), we headed back to the boardwalk. This time Logan walked, so it made getting the stroller though the sand much easier. We walked along the Boardwalk (the hotels are on the beach here, not like Galveston), for about 30 minutes. Logan had to stop and pet each dog he passed. Afterwards we walked down to Starbucks for some chocolate milk and coffee for Mommy, and cookies to share.
After an exciting day of gym and the beach, it was nap time (which worked out great since Daddy took forever in the gun show, so Mommy napped in the car too)
