A new chapter begins

Well, its over. No more VMRC(Virginia Marine Resources Commission). All week I had been antsy, but by yesterday I was so happy. The horrible crazy traffic couldn't bring me down ( I was still irritated, but not like the usual). Since I had some sick leave left that I would lose, I had an appointment, and need to take 2 hours. So, I left at noon (we close at 230, so I took my lunch and left). It was such a great feeling. My boss said he didn't think I could leave; I was like, I am leaving. What are you gonna do? Fire me? But wow what a relief when I walked to my car. I know its going to take a while to adjust to the new schedule, but I also know its going to be worth it. Of course now I am stressing over childcare, but I think I have found a really good school. I start at the new job Monday, with a teacher retreat followed by a week of workshops and in-service. Friday I get to meet my students and parents. I admit I am nervous, and unsure. But as I sit here watching the light of my life eat popcorn with his Daddy, talk, and play, I know I am doing the right thing. (Now I guess I should start my lesson plans...)
