So Texans are known for being proud, and at times, arrogant. But can you blame them? Have you been to Texas. It truly is a great state. It is home, and always will be. This weekend I got to go home to see my best friend and help throw her a baby shower. I also got so see all (well most) of my closest friends. I got to go to Aggieland and so did Logan, though I wasn't able to give him a tour. I got to eat Freebirds, Saltgrass, good Mexican, and Blue Bell. I got to visit with my friends. I never knew that I could miss it that much. I guess it just makes the trips back that much more special (and maybe a tad depressing). It sucks. Its sucks that I am far from friends; I admit I get jealous when I hear about them getting together and all. But its part of the military life, and I knew it when I said yes. But I figure if I have had my friends there for me for 13 or 17 years, I will have them there for the next 20. Now only if plane tickets weren't so expensive...
