Logan and I left Thursday, April 21st to head 'cross the Atlantic. We left around noon from Norfolk to Atlanta. Left Atlanta around 4 for the 9-ish hour flight to Frankfurt. Yeah, I am slightly crazy for taking a 21-month old cross cross the ocean, but he did really good. I got really lucky and had a whole row-4 seats- to myself. It worked out great when I finally got him to go to sleep, cause I could stretch out. He slept bout 4 1/2 hours; I might have got 2 hours in. We landed in Frankfurt at 715 am (1:15 EST; they are 6 hours ahead). Customs was easy, so it wasn't long until I was running to Stephanie (W) and we were giving big hugs! I was in Germany! How cool!!! So what was first on my agenda? I wanted nothing more to take a shower and brush my teeth! Haha!
So we went to the Wingo's from the airport to freshen up. I wanted to nap, Logan was ready to play! So he played with the dogs, Ozzie & Olive. At first, Olive was totally freaked out, but after a couple of minutes of fetch, they were the best of friends.
After some lunch, we went to base for some beer and wine. Ramstein is huge! Its the largest AF base in Europe. Later in the afternoon, the Scott's came over for some drinks and so the kids could play. it was soooo great being with my friends! I have missed them so!
Saturday Logan and I hung out with the Scott's, watching the kids play, running errands, and hanging out at the park. The day was perfectly ended with burgers and dogs while watching the sun set
