Girls just wanna have fun!

And margaritas! So yes, these girls did both! 4 friends decided to invade enemy territory with one mission in mind: a relaxing weekend!

Logan and I went to Texas for Labor Day weekend. It was a 'Girls Weekend' with my bestest buds. Logan And I flew into Houston Thursday afternoon, where Kevin picked us up and brought us home. He and Heather, and Miss Sophie, (and of course George & Annie) graciously opened their home to us for the weekend. Sophie was very sweet and shared her toys, pack-n-play, and stroller with Logan for the weekend. Logan was very sweet and gentle with Sophie. Logan also gave Sophie's Mommy & Daddy a heads up on how to baby proof...Logan really like Annie, and George too, though he wasn't so sure about the small human; George thinks Logan needs to work on his ball throwing skills.

Logan and I chilled at the house on Friday and got some much needed rest and bonding time. By bonding I mean keeping Logan out of things and from annoying George.

Saturday morning Heather, Logan and I headed out to Katy to pick up Jaime (after a stop at Jamba Juice- hey, I gotta get it when I can) and then head west to Austin. Logan was going to have a fun filled weekend with his Aunt Bunny so Mommy could relax. Khyle met us at Angela's, and from there the 4 of us began our adventures.

First stop was, of course, lunch! And where else would we go but to Chuy's for some yummy Mexican food, and margaritas =)

After that we headed over to Lady Bird Lake to do something different- kayaking! 4 girls + several margaritas + kayaks = good times! It was so much fun! I have to admit that kayaking is my new favorite hobby (and I haven't done it again, but I loved it!). We all decided we will have to go again when we have more that 30 minutes, because we had somewhere to be...pedicures! Yes, what is a girls' weekend without pedicures? Heather found a very cute little place for all of us, and it was a very relaxing afternoon; I think we all could have just napped has our toes transitioned from summer to fall colors.

Khyle needed to get back to her little man, so we took her back to her car at Angela's, and then the rest of us headed to downtown Austin to check into our hotel (thanks James!). After the relaxation of the pedicure, we were too tired to do anything but head down to the hot tub. We decided to just stay in for the night; we walked down to a local joint to grab dinner to go. Dinner was yummy, followed by desserts from the hotel restaurant. We stayed up til past midnight talking- about everything, and anything. It was a wonderful evening. We slept in, til 830-9, which was wonderful. I did not want the weekend to end; but sadly, it had to.

Breakfast, showers, and on our way to pick up my monster before heading back to Houston. We stopped at Chili's for some lunch before continuing on.We dropped Jaime off at her house, and Heather dropped Logan and I off at Aunt Sharon's, where some of my family came in to meet us. I know Heather was so happy to get back to her little angel!

Logan and I enjoyed a visit with my parents, Memaw, and Aunt Sharon. We stayed the night with her, and she took us to the airport. I was, as always so very sad to leave. It was a wonderful weekend with my girls, and a much needed one at that. Thank you girls for being such amazing women, and my friend; GOd has blessed me so much. I love you all so much! Until next time...(and soon!!!)
