Its the most wonderful time of the year

And the most stressful. I know I am not the only one. Don't get me wrong; I love Christmastime. Everything is sparkly and decorated. Christmas music is playing (maybe overkill at times), and its just a joyous time. But I can't help but stress over silly little things. Christmas is also the time where everyone wants you to give, give, give to every charity under the sun. I am glad that there is so much out there, but people need this stuff all year long, not just Christmas. I understand wanting to make it a better holiday for them. But I feel guilty, because I can't give to all. Walking past those bell-ringing Santas that are everywhere are the worst. I hate going into and out of stores. For one thing, a never have cash or change. And I do try and give if I have some. And I want to give to all of them. But why not spread some of this out throughout the year? Not just at the holidays? Plus, so many companies, schools, etc don't even allow you to mention "Christmas" or discuss the holidays (but that is a whole other can of worms). At my school, we are doing a 'baby shower', in honor of the birth of Baby Jesus. We are collecting baby items to donate. I like that. It relates to the holiday season, and is something used all year.

All I can do is be thankful for what the Lord has blessed me with, and share what I can when I can.
